Rumor: NJ Devils have settled on their #1 pick selection

With less than a month away to the NHL Draft, the New Jersey Devils have reportedly made up their minds in the Jack Hughes vs Kaapo Kakka sweepstakes.

Word out of NJ is the team has decided the American C, Jack Hughes is the best bet for success and this move has been backed by their collection of scouts and executives.

Hughes projects to be a playmaking centre, capable of 100 points seasons with unbelievable hockey sense, while the Finnish Kakka is a scoring machine with unbelievable hands, touch, a big league shot, and skating abilities.

Part of the worry from the Devils is their arch nemesis New York Rangers pick #2, so they better get the pick right. If they don't they will be paying for it for years.
