Matt Duchene has agreed on a new contract

According to multiple reports, UFA Matt Duchene is on his way to the Nashville Predators. Duchene's new deal will be for 7 years at roughly $8 million per season.

Duchene managed 70 points in 73 games split between the Senators and Blue Jackets. This is seen as a huge win for Duchene, considering you know what hit the fan when you was filmed chirping his coaches in the back of a cab and admitting he hasn't paid attention in weeks.

Good move for Nashville as Johansen and Duchene give the Preds a solid one-two down the middle.

Duchene contract with Preds includes $28 million in signing bonus money. Year by year total: $10 mil, $8 mil, $10mil, $8mil, $9 mil, $6 mil, $5 mil.
