St Louis Blues and Toronto Maple Leafs swap defencemen
The St Louis Blues and the Toronto Maple Leafs have pulled off another trade, swapping rarely used defencemen.
The Leafs acquire RHD Jordan Schmaltz, a former 1st round pick in 2012 for Swedish AHLer Andreas Borgman.
In Schmaltz, the Leafs get a 25-year-old who collected two points in 20 regular season games last season for the Blues while also putting up nine points in 36 AHL games for San Antonio. The Wisconsin native has registered five assists in 42 career NHL games and 93 points in 180 AHL games.
Borgman just turned 24, and recorded 17 points in 45 AHL last season. The 6' foot 183 pound LHD, loves to throw his weight around and has recorded 11 points in 48 NHL games.
