BREAKING: Maple Leafs Sign Mitch Marner to Contract Extension

It has finally happened. The Toronto Maple Leafs have managed to sign Mitch Marner to a contract extension.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have agreed to terms on a 6-year contract extension with forward Mitch Marner, that carries an AAV of 10.893 million dollars.

A former 4th overall pick of the Leafs, the 22-year old is coming off a breakout season, scoring 26 goals and 94 points playing alongside John Tavares. The Ontario native has been criticised by fans and analysts alike for being too greedy, and refusing to cave on his asking price. He even began training recently with the Zurich Lions in Switzerland.
