BREAKING: Newfoundland Growlers Being Forced Out of St.John's - Press Conference Tuesday

Growlers Owner, Dean MacDonald has done everything in his power to save the team and keep them in St.John's.  Here are the details Leafs & Growlers fans.

As if news out of the Leafs organization hasn't been been coming fast enough, the Newfoundland Growler have informed NHLTradeRumors that a Press Conference will be held Tuesday to announce the unfortunate outcome of their lease dispute with the city of St.John's.

Rumors started circling when MacDonald and Chief Operating Officer Glenn Stanford were sighted at the construction of a new arena in Quebec.

The ongoing battle between the Growlers and the City of St.John's has been well publicized both locally and on the national stage after the Growlers captured the Kelly Cup Championship in the inaugural season.

The tabled deal as it stands currently, still sees the City make profit from the Growler as tenants in their building, however that does not appear to be enough.

To voice the sentiment of many of the Growler fans I have spoken with, I would like to thank Mr. MacDonald for bringing Newfoundland their first ever pro championship and a team the entire province has embraced.

This is truly a sad day for Growlers fans and ultimately the tax payers of St.John's who support Mile One Center. Everyone loses in this outcome with the exception of the city that will be the new home of the Growlers.

Over the past 24 hours, many fans interviewed voiced the same opinion, that when election time rolls around for the present St.John's city council, Growlers Fans will remember. "Vote anything but" campaigns are already being rumored among the fan base who have vocalized their opinion thorough emails and phone calls to City Hall. Fan support for the Growlers on the popular Facebook Fansite Growlers Nation - Newfoundland has been nothing short of amazing.

One can only hope something changes between now and Tuesday, however what many suspected would be the grim outcome appears to have come to fruition.
