Breaking Report: Justin Williams stepping away from hockey
According to reports, Justin Williams is stepping away from the game of hockey. This sounds like a temporary move, as he did not declare himself retired.
Williams has played in 1244 games, tallying 312 goals, 474 assists, good for 786 points. Mr Game 7, also has played in 155 playoff games and has recorded an impressive 101 points. The Hurricanes announce that Justin Williams is "stepping away from hockey" at the start of the 2019-20 season. He's NOT retired but he's taking a break at the very least.— Sara Civ (@SaraCivian) September 2, 2019
Williams has not been public with his timetable to return, however, at soon to be 38-years-old, missing any game action could be costly to Williams' production.
Perhaps Williams, who is without a contract, will wait it out and sign on with a contender closer to the all-star break?
