Pens' Evgeni Malkin welcomed Alex Galchenyuk to the team

Evgeni Malkin has been a staple in Pittsburgh for over a decade and has welcomed many new teammates over the years. His newest teammate Alex Galchenyuk has looked up to Malkin for years, but after today, maybe that changes.

Great to see Malkin is keeping things lighthearted as there is a ton of pressure on the Penguins to make up for their wasted season last year, and a ton of pressure on Galchenyuk to fill the shoes left behind by Phil Kessel and his sniping abilities.

Galchenyuk could centre his own line, or be on the wings of either Malkin or Crosby throughout the year. Curious to see how it unfolds, for now, it looks like he will be doing so with one stick.
