Report: Clayton Keller to sign massive contract extension

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Arizona Coyotes' Clayton Keller is on the verge of signing a massive long-term contract extension. The extension will take him off as one of next year's top RFA's.

According to Friedman, Keller is closing in on an 8-year extension with the Coyotes. Friedman believes that Keller will gain $7.15M per season.

There is word that one of next year's RFAs - Clayton Keller - is closing in on an 8-year extension with ARIZ. AAV is in the $7.15M range, Friedman said on Twitter. 

Keller was drafted 7th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. In 116 games, Keller has scored 37 goals, 77 assists for a total of 114 points.
