Rumor: LA Kings and Carolina working on big trade
The Carolina Hurricanes have made it clear around the league they are open to trading RHD Justin Faulk, and as recent as last week, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet, mentioned they continue to work on the deal with the Ducks. Turns out the LA Kings are making a late push for Faulk's services.
According to sources, the LA Kings have made several offers to the Carolina Hurricanes for the offensive defenseman. The biggest sticking point in any deal, is Faulk has a modified no-trade clause and wants a contract extension before he accepts any deal.
The latest offer from the Kings included LA's first round pick next draft along with Swedish forward Carl Grundstrom and LHD Derek Forbort.
Faulk would provide the Kings with an offensive boost they desperately need, as they look to remain healthy and have a bounce back season in the west. While the Hurricanes are looking to accomplish a lot with trading Faulk. They would love to shed a bit of salary, add some help to the left side of their D, a young forward, and future considerations to build on their young dynamic team.
Would this be a good move for the Kings?
