Rumor: UFA Patrick Marleau interested in 3 teams
Last season Patrick Marleau enjoyed mentoring the young stars of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Marleau has since returned home to his residence in California after being bought out by the Carolina Hurricanes.
While the soon to be 40-year-old winger isn't capable of putting up flashy offensive numbers like earlier on in his career, teams around the league continue to kick tires on Marleau's desire to play one more season.
According to sources close to Marleau, the veteran has held contract discussions with the following teams:
1. Edmonton Oilers
2. San Jose Sharks
3. LA Kings
The contract would be a one-year deal, and roughly $1,000,0000. Marleau has been busy training with the likes of Joe Thornton in California, as both players would prefer being reunited in San Jose.
Would you want your team to sign Patrick Marleau to fill out your bottom 6 forwards?
