Video: Leaf Nation Newfoundland Surprises John Tavares With A Gift

Nothing beats Fan & Player interactions. At Leafs Training Camp in Newfoundland this past weekend, there was such a moment caught on camera at the autograph fence.

You see, Newfoundlanders are a different breed. The Maple Leafs organization gave the Newfoundland fan base so much over the past week that members of the local Facebook fan site, Leafs Nation - Newfoundland (LNNL), planned a little surprise to give back as well. 

Maple Leafs superstar and new father, John Tavares was caught by surprise when a young fan presented him with a gift during an autograph session.
