HUGE LOSS: Blues Vladimir Tarasenko out for months

The St Louis Blues are going to be in tough to repeat as champs, and the battle just got even bigger after the news that Vladimir Tarasenko will require surgery on his left shoulder and will be re-evaluated in 5 months.

The Russian sniper will have surgery on Tuesday of this week. Tarasenko had points in five straight games before leaving on Oct 24th vs the LA Kings. He will be placed on long term injury reserve, giving the Blues some additional cap space to try and fill the hole on the left side of their lineup.

In 10 games this season, Tarasenko had posted 3 goals and 7 assists.
