NHL legend Danny Grant passed away
We regret to announced the passing of NHL legend Danny grant at the tender age of 74 after a battle with cancer.
New Brunswick's Sports Hall of Fame announced the news on Twitter Monday morning. Born in Fredericton, Grant began his career as a member of the Montreal Canadiens where he played only one game in 1965-66. He would go on to win the Stanley Cup with the Habs two seasons later.
He also played for the Minnesota North Stars, Detroit Red Wings, and the Los Angeles Kings. In 736 NHL games, Grant scored a whopping 535 points, including 263 goals. He scored 50 goals during the 1974-75 season as a member of the Detroit Red Wings.
