Video: Auston Matthews with back to back highlight reel goals
Auston Matthews has a thing for moustaches, and he also knows a thing or two about showing up to opening night. The Maple Leafs took on the Senators Wednesday night, and #34 didn't disappoint.
Matthews became just the 4th player in league history to score in 4 straight season openers, and he's had a few of those nights with multi-goal games, including his 4 goal performance to open his career.
Wednesday night against the Sens, the first of his two was on a pretty feed from newly minted #88 William Nylander, who appears to be 'back' to the old speedster as a full training camp has benefited the Swedish playmaker. While the second goal was from a filthy feed from Mitch Marner off a power play face off.
