Pittsburgh Penguins Star Jake Guentzel Out Long Term
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they will be without forward and leading scorer Jake Guentzel for 4-6 months after undergoing shoulder surgery.
Guentzel scored his team leading 20th in Monday's 5-2 win over Ottawa but was tripped and fell awkwardly into the boards. Guentzel was named to the All-Star team just yesterday and scored 20 goals and 23 assists for 43 points this season.
With the Pens already missing captain Sidney Crosby for over a month, will GM Jim Rutherford make a move to fill the void?
