Report: Canucks place Sven Baertschi on trade block

According to TSN's Rick Dhaliwal, the Canucks have placed veteran forward Sven Baertschi on the trade block after his agent demanded a change of scenery.

I am not happy with the way this season has gone for Sven, he played well when he was in the NHL, in my opinion, he did not get the opportunity he needed, Baertschi's agent Andre Rufener. We would like to get traded, I am in contact with Jim Benning, he knows that. 

Dhaliwal stated that Baertschi didn't formally request a trade, but his agent wants a change of scenery.

So far this season, the 27-year old has played 6 NHL games, and has 22 points in 15 AHL games.
