Sens D Mark Borowiecki stopped a robbery with a clothesline
Mark Borowiecki went from being the poor soul who had to film an apology video with Sens Owner, Eugene Melnyk, to being a super hero, after a story from Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch was released today.
According to Garrioch's story, Borowiecki stopped a robbery in Gastown while his team was enjoying some time in the city.
The 30-year-old, who leads the league in hits, reportedly saw a man break into a car and grab a backpack. After telling him to stop, the robber took off on a bicycle. However, before the culprit could get too far, Borowiecki clotheslined him and wrestled the bag from the man, according to TSN 1200.
The bag contained passports, and Borowiecki has since handed the bag over to the Vancouver police.
No comment from Borowiecki has been made at this time. Wait until his teammates get a hold of this one. Cue the nicknames.
