Corey Perry Suspended 5 Games For Disgusting Hit
This is certainly not Corey Perry's first time facing disciplinary action for a questionable play. Perry received a 5 minute major for elbowing and a game misconduct just 3 minutes into the 1st period of the 2020 Winter Classic between the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators.
The NHL Department of Player Safety has issued a 5 game suspension to Perry for elbowing Predators' Ryan Ellis. Ellis was placed on IR by the Predators just hours before the league's ruling. Perry was forced to make the 'walk of shame' from the outdoor rink to the locker room, much to the amusement of the fans.
