Gotta See It: Battle Royale In New York City
Who said fighting in hockey was dead? Last night's contest between the New York Rangers and the New York Islanders opened up with gloves flying to the ice. At 17:47 of the 1st period, Rangers' Michael Haley challenged Islanders' Ross Johnson to a scrap, to which he obliged. And what a tussle is was. As the puck dropped to continue the game, Islanders' Matt Martin dropped the gloves with Rangers' Brendan Smith. The Battle of New York is alive and well. Check it out.
