Rumor: LA Kings receive offer for D Alec Martinez

The LA Kings continue to work the phones as they try to kick-start their rebuild and GM, Rob Blake is beginning to receive a ton of calls regarding his up-coming free agents. Another name that is being discussed, is defenceman, Alec Martinez.

Martinez is in a slightly different boat as he is still under contract for next season, however, the team doesn't see him in their long-term plans and is willing to move him for prospects and picks.

Martinez is making $4 million, for the rest of this season and next season.

The team has received a trade offer from the Colorado Avalanche for prospect Calle Rosen and a 3rd-round pick.

The discussions continue as the Avs are looking to add some playoff experience for a deep run this spring.
