Rumor: Penguins locked on Zucker
According to Dan Kingerski of PittsburghHockeyNow.com, the Pittsburgh Penguins are eyeing a deal to acquire Jason Zucker from the Minnesota Wild.
With five years remaining on his current contract with an AAV of 5.5 million dollars, Zucker has been a bright spot for the Wild as they are still in the hunt for a playoff spot in the West.
With 14 goals and 14 assists in 40 games played, the Wild forward could be a massive score for the Penguins as the trade deadline approaches.
No mention has been released about the asking price for Zucker, however, one can guess the Wild will ask for a package of picks, and near NHL ready prospects as they could quickly retool for the future after change in the General Manager position took place just this past summer.
