Rumor: Rangers reject Maple Leafs latest trade offer
The Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Rangers have been negotiating for weeks and have essentially gone nowhere in talks. The two teams have been working on a deal centered around Rangers goalie, Alexandar Georgiev.
The latest offer from the Maple Leafs is believed to have included forward, Kasperi Kapanen and prospect Jeremy Bracco, but the Rangers are holding out for more, as the interest in Georgiev has spiked ever since New York has been carrying three goaltenders.
While talks continue, some insiders have made comments about the talks:

Not even sure Kapanen gets it done.— Darren Dreger (@DarrenDreger) January 17, 2020
Look for talks between these two clubs to either crumble or turn into a blockbuster that could also include Chris Krieder. New York currently has room for 4 contracts, so the Leafs don't have to be shy with the quantity in the deal. Interesting times in the big apple.Tons of talk about Alexandar Georgiev being moved by the Rangers. Not sure why NYR would move a young stud goalie, who could be their #1 next season...Doesn't make much sense.— John Shannon (@JShannonhl) January 17, 2020
