Video: Washington Capitals debut new goalie at practice
File this under, 'something you don't see everyday', as the Capitals brought out baseball star, Ryan Zimmerman and stuck him in net, like they would a little brother.
Zimmerman, a 15-year MLB veteran, loves hockey and after his antics during the parade and the celebrations for the team's World Series victory, he gained the respect and love of the hockey fanbase.
After the practice took place, Zimmerman was thankful for the gesture, but reminded the team, he has no interest doing that again.

Zimmerman lived out a dream, playing in net at practice, as the team took part in shootoutdrills and even Ovechkin clapped a couple one-timers from his office.Ryan Zimmerman. World Series Champion. Future...goalie? pic.twitter.com/lzDsidVcLY— Washington Capitals (@Capitals) January 15, 2020
