Done Deal: Maple Leafs and Senators complete trade
The Toronto Maple Leafs have been busy lately and their fan base is starting to wonder what the motive is, as the team made a minor deal with the Ottawa Senators.
The deal included the Leafs acquiring Max Veronneau for Aaron Luchuk and a conditional 6th round pick in 2021.
Veronneau has appeared in 4 games for the Sens without registering a point. He has 2 goals and 2 assists in 12 games last season. He's a 24-year-old who also had 10 points in 33 games in the AHL.
Meanwhile, Luchuk was acquired by the Leafs from the Sens back in the summer, and now is returning to the Senators organization.
A minor deal in a major market, it appears Kyle Dubas is trying everything.
