Done Deal: St Louis acquires defenseman from Montreal
The St Louis Blues have gone through a whirlwind of emotions the past couple of weeks as the team prepares for another long playoff run. The team announced today, they have acquired defenseman Marco Scandella from the Montreal Canadiens.
The Habs will receive a 2nd round pick in 2020 and a conditional 4th round pick in 2021.
Scandella, 29, was acquired by the Canadiens from Buffalo on January 2nd in return for a 4th rounder. Marc Bergevin deserves some credit for the quick flip for a 2nd rounder.
Scandella was originally Minnesota's second round pick in 2008, 55th overall.
Appears this won't be the last deal announced today as insiders across the league have hinted more to come. The Habs are open for business and some believe even Carey Price is in play. Interesting times in Montreal.

The conditions on the Scandella trade: If STL re-signs him prior to Oct. 7, 2020, or if they win two rounds and he plays in at least half of the games in the first two rounds, MTL gets a fourth in 2021.
