Horrible news for the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs were dealt a major blow and this time it had nothing to do with a zamboni driver.
The Leafs announced on Wednesday that defenseman Jake Muzzin will miss approximately 4 weeks with a broken hand after the rugged defenseman, and owner of a new extension, blocked a shot with his hand vs the Lightning on Tuesday night.
The team has called up newly reacquired, Calle Rosen, who the team dealt for from the Colorado Avalanche for goalie Michael Hutchinson.

Tough break for the Leafs, as the team would have loved to receive this news before the trade deadline and not one day after. Now the team will battle for a playoff spot, currently without the likes of Morgan Rielly, Cody Ceci, Ilya Mikheyev, Andreas Johnsson and now Jake Muzzin.Defenceman Jake Muzzin is expected to be out of the lineup for approximately four weeks after suffering a broken hand last night.— Toronto Maple Leafs (@MapleLeafs) February 26, 2020
