New Jersey makes surprising goaltending move
The New Jersey Devils have completed a few trades over the past couple of weeks and today they waived goaltender Louis Domingue and recalled veteran Cory Schneider.
Domingue has struggled for the Devils since being acquired from the Lightning as he's played to a 3-8-2 record with a 3.79GAA and a .882 save %.
Meanwhile, Schneider went 0-6-1 for the Devils and held a reasonable record in the AHL since his demotion with a 7-7 record and a 2.71GAA. The American netminder has two years left on his deal at $6 million per season, so many believe this is another showcase for a deal.
Expect the Devils to move several more bodies out before Monday's deadline.
