Done Deal: Carolina and Florida complete huge 4 player deal
The Carolina Hurricanes are trying to make a playoff push and recently had to lean on a zamboni driver for two points. Today they are trying to pull off a huge trade.
Trocheck is 26 and is one of the best two-way checking centers in the game. He's under contract for 2 more seasons at a great number of $4.75 million. Whatever Carolina gives up will be substantial and could potentially set Florida up to parlay the return into something major.
What we do know, Carolina won't be trading away a goalie in the package.
Update: the deal has been finalized as per the details below:
Trocheck would jump right into the top-6 and this is an interesting development as Florida and Carolina are battling for a wild card position.Sounds like CAR has some interest in Vincent Trocheck.— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) February 24, 2020
