How Hockey Fans Should Spend Their Quarantine

The days in quarantine under government lock-down seem to pass in slow motion. For hockey fans during the suspended season, it's especially tough to keep your fill of the sport. We all watch hockey for different reasons, but there are a few things to do during this unexpected, extended off-season.

1. Watch Classic Hockey Movies

Nothing beats a movie marathon on the sofa, especially with hockey. Watching all three Mighty Ducks movies in a row along with other films like Miracle, Goon, and Slap Shot, is a pretty solid way to get through another day of postponed games.

2. Play Classic Hockey Video Games

NHL 20 is fun to play for sure, but nothing compares to the old games. By far, the best is NHL Hitz 2002. The arcade-style play loaded with hard checking and endless fighting is an easy way to spend days on end safe in your home.

3. Do Your Own NHL Draft Preparation

There are dozens of mock drafts online that are filled with great information on hundreds of prospects. Taking a little bit of time to read up on a few of them and watch their highlights is a fun and informative way to get your own insight on a potential superstar for your team.

4.  Watch All the Hockey Pups Videos Online

It's hard to beat puppies and hockey together. Hundreds of videos exist online of dogs on the ice. It is a fun way to relax and forget the world for a few hours.

5. Re-watch Classic Games from the Season

This season has been a roller coaster with wild, back and forth games that had us on the edge of our seats like the 2020 Winter Classic between the Stars and Predators. You can also relive history being made with the Carolina Hurricanes and David Ayres defeating the Toronto Maple Leafs. If watching two teams you don't care for is not your thing, watching replays of your favorite team beating up on their rival is also a blast to watch when stuck at home.
