Johnny Boychuk makes hilarious joke about his horrific injury

Johnny Boychuk has a sense of humor and a ton of zippers. The Islanders d-man was cut for 90, yes, 90 stitches on Tuesday night vs the Montreal Canadiens, and the early word is everything is going to be ok and he is expected to make a full recovery. The skate cut the side of his face, and only managed to cut his eye lid.

The defenseman took to his Twitter account to address the love and support from the fans, and also to crack a hilarious joke, cause, why not, right?

Thank you to everyone for the positive messages and thoughts! I am extremely grateful. Please know they did not go unheard. Luckily for me the skate only cut my eyelid. Sorry for the late response...facial recognition wasn’t working... thank you again my friends. Johnny B
