Report: Senators Player with COVID-19 Identified

It was reported earlier this week that a member of the Ottawa Senators had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. A report from a Russian journalist appears to have identified that individual.
Russian journalist Igor Erenko has reported that the member of the Ottawa Senators who tested positive is defenceman Nikita Zaitsev.

The league recently allowed players to begin returning to their home countries, which means Zaitsev likely headed back home to Russia and the information was leaked to Erenko.
