BREAKING: Oilers' Colby Cave passes away at 25

We regret to announce that Edmonton Oilers forward Colby Cave passed away earlier Saturday after suffering a brain bleed at the age of 25.

I (Emily, Colby's wife) and both our families are in shock but know our Colby was loved dearly by us, his family and friends, the entire hockey community, and many more. We thank everyone for their prayers during this difficult time. 

On Tuesday, Cave was placed in a medically-induced coma at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. He underwent emergency surgery on Tuesday with the doctors removing a colloid cyst that caused pressure on his brain.

We would like to extend our condolences to Colby's family and friends.
