Connor McDavid released by Oilers in shocking development

The news has splashed the air waves and it's left NHL fans in complete shock and Oilers fans stepping in puddles of their tears. The Oilers have released Connor McDavid after he breached his contract as per policy 4.01.20 in the Collective Agreement.

As per 4.01.20, it clearly states no player signed to a franchise is allowed to be named top-forward by this wide of a margin, especially considering some think he's not even the best player on his team.
