NHL discussing 4 cities to host playoffs
No one knows for sure when life will go back to normal and the world's sports leagues are no different. Some seasons have been full on cancelled, but the NHL has discussed numerous scenarios to complete their season and award the Stanley Cup this year.
Pierre LeBrun of TSN reported that the NHL has discussed a centralized scenario in which the 16 teams that qualify for the playoffs would play all playoff games in four cities. There has been no word of which cities would be the hosts or if the games would be played in front of fans. The NBA has held talks about having their entire post season in Las Vegas.
With there being four divisions in the league, the NHL would probably want somewhere central for the teams within that division. Vegas could work for the Pacific, maybe Nashville for the Central? Who knows what they might come up with between now and summer? We just want our hockey back.
