NHL players are skating in Sweden and some players are pissed off
How to get a competitive advantage on your competition for $500, Alex? Live in Sweden is the answer you're looking for. The Covid-19 pandemic put a pause on NHL games and many other leagues around the world, but there's been some countries who have taken down the restrictions on social gatherings. Sweden being one of them, even though their virus numbers continue to rise and if their going to open up some ice, some NHL players are going to take advantage.
One agent went on to mention they estimate half the Swedish NHLers are skating together. TSN's Darren Dreger mentioned recently that Elias Pettersson of the Vancouver Canucks has been skating near his hometown of Sundsvall, with his brother Emil who plays in the SEL. Two other Canucks players Jacob Markstrom and Oscar Fantenberg are also both believed to be skating with Pettersson.
Let's hope nothing stupid happens with these players, and if you ask other NHL players, they're not holding back their feelings on the matter.

I didn't know the skating side, so now they're going to have an even bigger advantage. Take the skating away from it, there are a lot of guys who are in a tough spot. Some guys in small condos where you don't have much to work with. Yeah, you can do some bodyweight stuff, cardio stuff, but none of that translates to on the ice. There's going to be a lot of injuries, but there's going to be some guys where their contracts are up and going into next year where some guys careers may be in jeopardy. It's a scary thing to think about, let alone talk about.
