The NHL provides update to players on Covid-19 pause

News dropped earlier today that the NHL has extended its period of self-quarantine for players and staff to April 30th.

This will now be the 3rd time the message has changed since the spread of the Covid-19 virus, the league initially paused on March 12th. The league continues to mull over every option available as it's becoming more and more likely the season will be cancelled.

So far 8 players have tested positive for Covid-19, including 5 from the Senators and 3 from the Avalanche.

The league would love to eventually open up team facilities for small-group workouts and have a training camp that lasts as long as 3 weeks. Being able to pull this off is the biggest question mark and concern as we speak, and the word from several players around the league is they don't see this season restarting at all.

Expect to hear the hammer drop closer to the end of the month.
