Video: The St Louis Blues make sports history with team video conference
Welcome to 2020 in the middle of a 'pandemic pause'. The defending Stanley Cup Champs made sports history on Wednesday as the team became the first professional sports team to have a full-team virtual conference get-together. This was their only option to get everyone in the same spot due to the concerns surrounding the coronavirus.
The team held their video chat on ZOOM which was arranged by the NHL, ironically on the same day the playoffs were supposed to begin. The conference also included Jim Hughson from Sportsnet and Kathryn Tappen from NBC. The video will be available on NHL.com, NHL socials and on SN1 at 8:00pm on Wednesday and NBCSN will air it Monday at 6pm est.
The topics which were created by Hughson and Tappen included how they have handled the pause, the Stanley Cup hangover and their favorite moments from the past two seasons.
"Fans know we miss being down at Enterprise, and I'm sure they miss watching us play, too."— St. Louis Blues (@StLouisBlues) April 8, 2020
We got the entire team on a video conference today, and you can watch tonight at 7 p.m. DETAILS: https://t.co/Gstuf8WI25 #stlblues pic.twitter.com/vm8pX8WUAW

Stay safe, stay home.
