Huge Deal: Calgary Flames sign 'goalie of the future'

The Calgary Flames were busy on Friday finalizing a deal with goaltender Dustin Wolf. The team announced the deal with the WHL star, who enjoyed a huge season in the 'Dub'.

Wolf, six-foot, is on the smallish side, but that hasn't stopped him from putting up massive numbers for Seattle in the WHL. A finalist for the goalie of the year award, Wolf posted 9 shutouts to lead the league, the highest save percentage (.936) and the lowest GAA (1.88). Wolf also tied for most wins with 34.

With Calgary's lack of organizational depth of goalies, look for Wolf to be given a look, sooner than later.  Wolf had this to say about people who question his game:
Yeah, obviously teams want six-foot-three goalies now, so you're trying to be as positionally sound as you can, and you've got to make up for your height with being athletic and being able to sprawl across the net to make saves you probably shouldn't.
