Pittsburgh vs Montreal is an interesting 1st-round match up

The Pittsburgh Penguins have spent the entire season battling the injury bug, so if you're going to ask what team has benefited the most from a long-layoff, it may be the Pens. Meantime, in Montreal, before the pandemic pause, the Habs statistically had 0% chance of making the playoffs. With the news from Elliotte Friedman regarding the playoff format, the Habs are very much in the playoffs with a first round test from Sidney Crosby.

With a best-of-five 1st round match up being submitted to the NHLPA and NHL on Thursday, if and when both sides approve, this match up will be one that is circled. Carey Price vs the battle tested Penguins. Crosby vs his somewhat, home town team. It's always special for Sid when he plays Montreal, but because he won't be at the Bell Centre, this one may feel a little bit different.

My prediction: The Penguins sweep and win 3 straight games, because of a dominant balanced attack and if Montreal squeaks one game out, it's because Carey Price stood on his head.
