Video: Canucks' Virtanen in hot water over 'illegal video'
All Jake Virtanen wanted to do was show off that he got dressed at home like the good ol' days, turns out he shouldn't have. The Canucks' forward posted a video of himself driving to the rink in his gear, much like when he played Peewee minus the driving part, but after the NHL reposted the video, it was shortly taken down by everyone involved. Operating a vehicle and using a cell phone is illegal in the province of BC.
Here's the deleted video, as a fan was able to rip it before it was deleted by Virtanen. Oh the internet:
The fine in BC is $368 for using your cell phone while driving. The cops have one year to give Virtanen a ticket if they choose. He's likely not going to receive a ticket, and he's likely to never do that again!

The NHL deleted the post, but Jake Virtanen still has his distracted driving Instagram story post up. pic.twitter.com/lF8oT4ZJJS— Leah Kessel (@leahflame) May 27, 2020
