Done Deal: Buffalo Sabres sign top-end defensive prospect

The Buffalo Sabres have begun their off season transactions, and while they have been busy working the phones to upgrade their team, they have also taken care of some in-house business. The Sabres announced they have signed defenseman Oskari Laaksonen to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Finnish prospect was a Sabres' third rounder in 2017. Sabres GM, Jason Botterill had this to say to the media about the signing:
The work Oskari has put in to improve his game has paid off during his last two seasons. His success on the international stage and what he's done as a 19-20 year-old playing in a professional league is impressive.
Laaksonen, has spent the past 3 seasons in the Finnish Elite League. He registered 40 points in 113 games, and he won a gold medal at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. Laaksonen has a chance to head to camp next year and make an impression.

Pro tip, get on Jack Eichel's good side.
