NHL says 'no' to top Hub City candidate!
In what some are calling a huge surprise, the NHL is currently not considering Vancouver for a hub city when the playoffs begin this summer. While Vancouver appeared to be a huge favorite, given the set up of their 'bubble', the NHL is currently looking over recently altered bids from Toronto and Edmonton, to go along with Vegas for its return.

I can confirm the NHL has moved on from Vancouver as a hub city for now. They are exploring other options. There is still a chance Vancouver could come back in play if the league doesn't get what they want from Edmonton or Toronto. #bcpoli #canucks
Told no decisions yet on NHL hub cities as of this morning, but Toronto's latest push coupled with Vancouver's internal testing/protocols concerns, may result in Toronto coming out ahead. I'm told NHL has calls scheduled with both cities today.— David Pagnotta (@TheFourthPeriod) June 25, 2020
Do you care where the NHL plays!?! Nobody is buying tickets anyway. We don't care, we just want some puck. Get your popcorn ready! With the Vancouver Hub city bid having hit a setback in talks with provisional health authorities, sources confirm the NHL has commenced more detailed conversations with the Edmonton and Toronto bids to see where that goes.
