Rumor: Montreal and Columbus could pull off massive trade

The Montreal Canadiens managed to squeak into the playoff picture this season after they essentially had 0% chance of making the post season before the pandemic pause. While many of us our focused on what's to come this playoff season, some hockey insiders are starting to speculate what the off season could look like for Marc Bergevin and the Habs. Turns out Max Domi could be on the move.

Josh Anderson for Max Domi would be a huge gamble for the Canadiens, but we all know how much Bergevin loves to gamble with big trades. The Habs are in dire need of bigger forwards and right-handed ones on top of that. However, Anderson only had 4 points in 26 games before the break, in a season that was hampered with injuries. The season before he did manage 27 goals and was drawing playing comparisons to Tom Wilson of the Capitals. Again, this would be a massive risk and not something Habs fans would necessarily buy into.

Keep an eye on these two teams once these playoffs are wrapped up, as both GM's love bold moves and with a flattened salary cap, a shorter off season, and a bunch of question marks, this upcoming off season could be the perfect time for another huge trade.
