Rumor: Toronto selected as 2nd Hub City for NHL playoffs
The Canadian government has opened up its doors to the NHL's comeback and according to multiple rumors surfacing the web, Toronto will be the city selected to play host to the Western Conference bracket.
It makes all the sense in the world for Toronto to host, as they have received political backing from not only the federal government but the league has also been working with the local and provincial government bodies to ensure all health and safety protocols are met for hosting. From the hotel locations, to the exclusive amenities for players and their families, the fine details continue to be worked out.
With practice rinks near by, an airport within 30 minutes and a world class city to offer, and somewhat enjoy with some likely restrictions, Toronto seems like the logical choice.
There is still a small chance the league chooses, 3 cities, but at this point, it appears the league is leaning on going with 2 and Vegas and Toronto would be the choice.

My understanding is that Toronto is the choice the NHL would want if there was a Canadian hub city allowed. If that happened, it would be Vegas and Toronto for NHL games. https://t.co/zKznASp8wj— steve simmons (@simmonssteve) June 16, 2020
