Auston Matthews wants to see some changes from the NHL

The NHL announced they have temporarily relaxed the dress code in the NHL's bubble and won't require teams to wear suits to the playoff games this year. For Auston Matthews of the Maple Leafs, he sees this as a perfect chance to showcase personality and hopes the NHL will do something about mandating suits.

Matthews was asked by the media on his feelings towards the relaxed rules and had this to say:

Auston Matthews on a relaxed dress code in the bubble: "I'm really looking forward to it, honestly. It'll be a pretty cool opportunity for guys to express themselves like other leagues are able to. At times, hockey can kind of fall behind as far as that stuff kind of goes."

Matthews is referring to the NBA and one of his favorite players is the Rockets' Russell Westbrook who loves to show off his fancy threads. Matthews thinks the NHL is behind the times and needs to open their eyes to letting their stars shine.
