Crazy details revealed about Brock Boeser trade rumors
Sekeres seems a little pissed off people threw shade at him and then Elliotte Friedman gets a free pass.Waiting on some colleagues in this city to criticize Elliotte for the timing & necessity of this information. #TickTock https://t.co/8ZRMEFKgGq— Matthew Sekeres (@mattsekeres) July 14, 2020
As for the Canucks, I have been told directly from a Vancouver insider, the team will be listening to offers and are looking for a Top-4 defenseman to replace Chris Tanev in any Boeser deal. Could we see a Johansen for Jones, Hall for Larsson type deal here, maybe. Maybe not.
The Canucks as Benning mentioned this week, are looking at other alternatives first as they need to clear some cap space with the news the NHL's salary cap is staying flat for the foreseeable future.
When multiple sources are now saying the team has explored a Boeser trade in the past and will do so in the future, it's happened. All that Canucks GM, Jim Benning is trying to do is keep his player motivated for the playoffs.
