Crazy trade rumor has Jack Eichel headed to San Jose!

When Jack Eichel came out to the media and let us all know he's not a big fan of all the losing that's been going on in Buffalo, the hockey world erupted. Over the past few weeks a bunch of trade rumors have surfaced on what it may take to get Eichel out of Buffalo, but you haven't seen anything yet...

According to Brian Witt of NBC Sports in California, he feels the Sharks and Sabres could be a match, and provided what he thought was the offer the Sabres can't refuse. Here goes nothing...

Factoring in both what Buffalo likely would demand as well as salaries, a Sharks’ potential trade package for Eichel might look something like: Burns, Ryan Merkley, Jonathan Dahlen and a future first-round pick — and even that might not be enough. Burns’ talent surely would be attractive to the Sabres, but he’s also 35 years old. Not to mention, he has a modified no-trade clause in his contract.

For starters, Eichel isn't likely to be dealt, unless Buffalo is absolutely blown away by the package. This isn't it.

Secondly, Burns has trade protection, and as a childhood friend of Burnzie, I can let you in on a secret...there's no chance he wants to play for Buffalo.
