Golden Knights To Name First Captain In Franchise History
The Vegas Golden Knights have not had a captain since their 2018 inauguration. They currently have four alternate captains, but this is not going to be the case next season.
Head coach Pete DeBoer stated that the Golden Knights will name a team captain prior to the 2020-21 season. The only member of the team with captain experience is Max Pacioretty, who served as captain of the Montreal Canadiens from 2015-2018.
Mark Stone, Reilly Smith, Deryk Engelland and Nate Schmidt currently serve as the teams four alternate captains. Who will wear the "C" next season?
