Mark Scheifele Responds To Lawsuit Launched By Personal Chef
Winnipeg Jets' Mark Scheifele and his personal chef have been in a legal battle since February. The chef has made some claims and is seeking to recover damages from Scheifele. Scheifele has now responded to these allegations.
Super chef Jeremy Senaris began working for Scheifele at the beginning of the 2017-18 season. The former finalist in TV's MasterChef Canada claims that Scheifele was "callous" and "unprofessional". He is seeking $75,000 in damages and has accused Sheifele of reneging on his commitment to the chef's services, not paying on time, not covering benefits and unfairly firing him.
Scheifele is refusing to pay the $75,000 and states that the lawsuit should be dropped and Senaris should be left to cover the legal fees.

"Senaris' work in the kitchen was far from top-drawer. Half-baked, even."Scheifele also stated that the chef was leaving meals uncooked, partly cooked, or cold on the kitchen stovetop, and otherwise failing to adequately prepare meals in a manner that is compatible with the diet of an elite athlete.
