New York Rangers Goaltender Being Moved Out Of Town

The New York Rangers have a unique problem that perhaps other teams would be envious to have. They have 3 phenomenal goaltenders, but there are only 2 roster spots. Some developments have been made and it's completely shocking.

Alexandar Georgiev was rumoured to be on the go all of last season. This would have likely been the scenario until the new NHL, NHLPA agreement was released. This agreement includes a salary cap freeze, which puts many teams in quite a predicament.

To salvage their roster, the New York Rangers are reportedly seeking to buyout Henrik Lundqvist. He will be entering his final year of a 7 year deal. He has a no move clause and has a cap hit of $8.5 Million per year. The Rangers will be able to save $3 Million in salary cap space if they buyout Lundqvist and keep Alexendar Georgiev and Igor Shestyorkin between the pipes.
